Congratulations to the winners of our premiere Fantasy Spearfishing Competition.

Upon trying to contact Ruth Kaneko to inform her about her win we were informed they had actually entered after the midnight deadline. We checked and they had entered significantly after the deadline. This was unintentional on their part because Ruth Kaneko entered while serving in Iraq and the time difference and limited computer access made things difficult. Although we could not give them the award we decided to give them a $50 Hana Pa'a Certificate for their great honesty.

Unfortunately, Ruth was the only participant to pick the team of Mathew and Frederick.

Jack Joyner was 1 of 38 participants to pick the team of Vern Takata /Shawn Fujimoto to win the 3-Prong Division. However his guess of 20.8# was the closest without going over to the actual weight of 21.3.

Jack will receive a $50 Hana Pa'a Certificate for his efforts.

Thanks to everyone for participating. The Gene Higa Tournament is limited to 120 divers, but Fantasy Spearfishing allows everyone to have a chance to win. See you again next year!
